Introducing Client Segmentation: A New Setting to Deliver Different Experiences to Different Clients
This is a big update for Lumiant — one that will empower you to design bespoke digital experiences based on your clients' individual needs. The new feature is called client segmentation, and it allows you to choose which modules and surveys are available to which clients.
For some clients, you can design an experience where they only see Your Life, Your Values, and Your Goals. For others, you can enable the full suite of modules. Here's why that matters.
Tailoring the Experience to Client Complexity
For most advisors, there's a segment of clients who aren't as complex as the majority and don't yet have the wealth to generate significant revenues for the firm. You're investing in them now to support them in the future when their needs become more complex.
For this lower-complexity segment, you might want a more self-directed experience — with all surveys turned on so clients can complete most of the prep work prior to meetings, ensuring your time is spent as effectively as possible. For higher-value segments requiring a higher level of service, you might offer fewer surveys, completing those experiences together in the meeting as part of the service offering itself.
What This Means for Practice Managers and Advisors
For practice managers, client segmentation provides the comfort and control to configure the experiences advisors can offer different client segments based on their servicing needs — allowing you to scale your advice experience in line with your segmentation model.
For advisors, it means being able to control what clients see and interact with when they log into their Lumiant client portal — activating the modules they need to engage with now, while keeping others available for later in the experience.
The result is more control for your teams and a more personalised feel for your clients, who will experience an environment that feels tailored specifically to them and their needs.
Practice managers will be able to add, edit, and delete client segments, as well as enable and disable modules. Advisors will be able to link households to a client segment and filter their client lists based on the different segments within their firm.
