Case study

Our Dashboard Has a New Look!

Overnight, our team deployed an update to our client dashboard. Before we walk you through what's changed, we want to take a moment to say thank you — to our Innovation Hub, consisting of early adopters who beta test our new releases and provide vital feedback; to our strategic partner Savant Wealth Management, who has been testing the updates and providing great insights into the platform's usability; and to all of our customers for your ongoing feedback on how we can improve the platform.

The Intent Behind the Update

The goal of the new dashboard is to make it easier for clients to see the metrics that matter, understand their next best action, and identify areas of focus. This update is the first step in achieving that.

What's Been Updated?

A Simpler, More Consistent Design

We've simplified the overall design, giving it a more compact and consistent look and feel so key information is visible at a glance. Key metrics are now highlighted in their own container, which you can click on to access further detail.

A Revamped Goals Container

We've updated the goals container to display the images clients add to each goal. Research suggests that when goals are vividly described — including through pictures, photos, and drawings — people are anywhere from 1.2 to 1.4 times more likely to successfully accomplish them compared to those who don't. Capturing goals in the client's own words and pairing them with meaningful imagery has significant implications for motivating clients to take action.

Yet the same research suggests only 20% of people always capture their goals this vividly. Don't underestimate the power of imagery — make it personal. Encourage clients to upload photos that genuinely resonate with them. If they don't have one, they could draw something out and photograph it, then replace it with the real thing once the goal has been achieved.

Our recommendation: For any client with goals tracked in the platform, give them access to Lumiant and let them start adding imagery. If you want to go the extra mile, you can upload placeholder imagery using free stock photo platforms like Unsplash or Pexels.

A New Carousel Format for Goals and Tasks

Goals and tasks are now displayed in a carousel format, so clients can quickly and easily toggle through their To Do, Doing, and Done tasks directly from the dashboard.

Household Values on the Dashboard

We now display Household Values only on the dashboard, giving clients a quick view of the family values they are working toward. Individual values and what they mean to each client are still retained — they're just accessed by clicking into the module for further detail.

What's Next?

This is our first step in making the dashboard a more informative and engaging summary for clients. Over the next few months, you'll see it continue to evolve as we work on new designs with our Innovation Hub and strategic partners Savant and Invest Blue.

As always, we want your feedback as we roll out these changes. Let us know what you think and where things could be improved — send your ideas to customer-success@lumiant.io.
